CF Support Circles
CF Support Circles provide a compassionate, virtual space where members of the cystic fibrosis community can come together to share experiences, find encouragement, and build meaningful connections. These monthly gatherings are designed to support emotional well-being through peer connection and professional guidance, ensuring no one in the CF community feels alone.

Beyond the Horizon is our Grief Group that provides gentle and guided support for individuals and families in the cystic fibrosis community who have experienced loss. This monthly, virtual support group is co-facilitated by a licensed mental health professional and a trusted CF community member, creating a safe and empathetic environment to share, mourn, and honor memories.
Participants explore grief through structured discussion topics—such as coping with anniversaries, honoring loved ones, and building resilience—while receiving peer encouragement and professional guidance. These sessions are free of cost and affirm the Piper’s Angels Foundation’s mission to uplift and strengthen the CF community.

The Men’s Group creates a supportive space for men in the cystic fibrosis community to connect, share experiences, and strengthen one another. Facilitated by a CF community member, this monthly virtual circle focuses on honest conversation, encouragement, and practical tools for navigating life with CF and its challenges. Like all CF Support Circles, the Men’s Group is free of cost and rooted in community.
The Dad’s Group is a dedicated space for fathers in the cystic fibrosis community—whether raising a child with CF, supporting a partner, or balancing family life with CF themselves. This monthly virtual circle provides connection, encouragement, and practical guidance for navigating the unique challenges of fatherhood in the CF journey. Facilitated by a CF community dad, the group fosters open conversation, peer support, and shared strategies for resilience. Like all CF Support Circles, the Dad’s Group is free of cost and rooted in community.

Who can participate?
CF Support Circles are open to anyone in the cystic fibrosis community who connects with the purpose of a specific group. This includes people living with CF, parents, siblings, spouses, caregivers, and loved ones. Whether you’re seeking peer connection, navigating the challenges of fatherhood, looking for a men’s space, or finding support after loss, there’s a circle designed for you.

Is there a cost?
No. All CF Support Circles are free of charge to ensure accessibility for everyone in the CF community.

How do I join?
Participation is by application to ensure a safe environment. Interested members fill out a short form, and our team follows up with next steps.
When and where are meetings?
Each circle meets once a month in a virtual format via Zoom. Participants receive reminders after registering. Some circles may also offer optional in-person gatherings or special events during the year.

Do I have to share?
No. Sharing is always optional. Many participants simply attend to listen and feel supported. Each person is welcome at their own comfort level.

Who leads the circles
Each session is co-facilitated by a licensed mental health professional and a trusted member of the CF community. This ensures a balance of professional guidance and lived experience in every circle.

Are these therapy?
CF Support Circles are peer support groups—not formal therapy. While they are facilitated by a mental health professional, they are not a replacement for individual counseling or crisis services. If you need specialized care, we can connect you with additional resources.

Is what I say kept private
Yes. Confidentiality is essential to all CF Support Circles. Participants agree not to share names, stories, or personal details outside of the group. No sessions are ever recorded, and everyone commits to maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
